Experience:

Walpole, Inc. is proud of its team of professional drivers. They are the best in the transportation and trucking industry! Therefore, the following age and experience requirements are the standards that we have in place to hire the best of the best.

  • Minimum 23 years of age
  • Minimum 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
  • Minimum 1 year of combined tractor-trailer/straight truck experience
  • If less than 2 years’ experience, board approval and 100 additional paid training hours with a company representative are required
  • 10 Year employment history- with explanations for any gaps

 

General Requirements:

We are a drug-free workplace that ensures the safety of our drivers and others on the road. You need to be drug-free and have a clean driving record to join our professional driving team.

  • Must pass DOT physical and drug screen
  • No positive drug screens
  • No felony convictions involving a commercial vehicle in a lifetime
  • No non-CMV felony convictions within the last 5 years
  • No DUI/DWI within the previous ten (10) years

Benefits:

Employees become eligible for benefits after 60 days of continuous employment. Coverage will begin on the first day of the third month of employment. Open enrollment for benefits is in January every year.

 Walpole Inc. wants to help you plan for your future; therefore, we provide one of the most generous 401K matching in the industry. You must be at least 21 years of age to participate. Walpole, Inc provides a 100% match of the first 3% of employee contributions.

  • Employee contributions between 3-5% will be matched at 50% by Walpole, Inc.

We were founded in 1952 by E.E. Walpole II, and we pride ourselves that Walpole, Inc. is still a family-owned and operated transportation business today! Our company began with one man and one single truck and has expanded throughout the southeastern United States with an entire fleet of state-of-the-art trucks that give us the ability to haul flour, feed, sugar, salt, lime, and coal wherever you need it to go!

We accomplish this from our four terminals in Okeechobee, Tampa, West Palm Beach, and Birmingham, driving safely, on time, every day. We are proud of our growth and believe it has occurred through perseverance, hard work, and growing a great team of the best drivers in the trucking industry. We have the greatest variety of equipment in the transportation industry. Our equipment types vary from pneumatics and liquid tanks to hoppers, augers, belts, and walking floors. Hazardous materials, we are the masters at it and have the necessary equipment. We are Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) certified to handle hazardous materials safely and have extensive experience with Mine Safety Health Administration (MSHA). We are also certified kosher carriers!

We can handle your transportation needs anywhere in the United States and are apportioned to operate in all 48 contiguous states and have also operated in Mexico and Canada.
