Experience:

  • Minimum 23 years of age; and
  • Minimum 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience or minimum 2 years of combined tractor-trailer / straight truck experience; or
  • Minimum 1 year of tractor-trailer experience pending special approval and 100 hours of training with company representative; and
  • 10 Year employment history – any gaps in employment must be explained

General Requirements:

  • Must be able to pass DOT physical and Drug Screen
  • No positive drug screens or refusals
  • No felony convictions involving a commercial vehicle in a lifetime
  • No non-CMV felony convictions within the last 5 years
  • No CMV-related felony convictions ever

Founded in 1952 by E.E. Walpole II, Walpole, Inc. is still a family-owned and operated business. Our company began with one man and a single truck and has spread over the southeastern United States to four terminals: Okeechobee, Tampa, West Palm Beach and Birmingham. Even though we have grown as a company, our values and approach to business have remained the same. We believe this is a reason why we are still doing business with some of E.E. Walpole, II’s original customers.

While we value tradition we have realized the advantage of technology for today’s transportation industry. By utilizing mobile communication devices, auto-shift transmissions, and custom engine calibrations we are driving smarter. With fuel-efficient tires and SCR technology for diesel emission control, we are driving cleaner. Balancing technology and practicality we have found efficiency.

Walpole, Inc. offers a wide variety of transportation services from dedicated runs with specialized equipment to intermodal and brokered freight. Our equipment types vary from pneumatics and liquid tanks to hoppers, augers, belts, and walking floors.

We are apportioned to operate in all 48 contiguous states and have operated in Mexico and Canada. We have the certification and equipment necessary to safely haul Haz-Mat and have experience with MSHA. We are also certified as a kosher carrier.

Our customer service has created relationships that have lasted lifetimes. From E.E. Walpole, II’s original customers in the 1950’s to contracts that have been renewed since the 1970’s, it is clear that we are able to consistently satisfy our customers regardless of the changing times.
